The Animal Specialty Center surgical department is comprised of board-certified small animal surgeons and a dedicated team of skilled veterinary technicians and assistants. Our specialists work as a team along with you primary care veterinarian to assure your pet receives the very best surgical care available.
Our surgeons are board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Members of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons undergo a one-year rotating internship and a three-year surgical residency. After completing the full training program, the candidate is required to pass a rigorous three-day exam. Only upon successful completion of these requirements can veterinarians become a veterinary surgical specialist.
